FMLP 2013 – Results of Annual Board Meeting
Friends of Mountain Lake Park held its annual board meeting a few weeks ago.
A number of items were discussed including the elections of new FMLP board members and board officers. We are happy to announce that Rich Shrieve has once again agreed to FMLP Board President. Colleen O’Neill agreed to step into the role of Vice President of the Board. Additional information is located at FMLP People.
A Community Meeting focusing on Mountain Lake Remediation and plan updates on the Park Playground is slated to occur on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 6:30PM. The meeting will be located at St. James Church (4620 California Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). We are expecting a full house! Please mark your calendars now.
We also agreed to host a couple of park cleanup events during 2013, including a first ever dusk event. FMLP will let you know when these community events are scheduled.
Dog Run Clean Up – November 2
It’s almost winter time which means rainy days and lots of puddles. In preparation, hearty volunteers will gather after work on Friday to spread woodchip at the dog run.
Bring your favorite rake or shovel or wheelbarrow – or just bring yourself. If you have left over Halloween candy, bring that too! There will be tools and refreshments provided too.

Mountain Lake Cleanup Update – September 2012
Things are moving along with the lake cleanup as you can see along Highway 1. We also received word from the Trust about work on the next stage:
In September and October 2012, the Presidio Trust will begin tree removals and other site preparation work in advance of the next phase of the Mountain Lake Remediation Project. This will require creating a staging area north of They also have table casino games such as baccarat and blackjack, different video poker choices and plenty of specialty casino games . the lake, a pipeline route, and an access route to the lake. The attached notice provides details on this work and a map showing project work areas and sections of trails that may be intermittently closed to complete this work.
Also, please join the Presidio Trust and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) for an Information Session to learn more about impacts of the upcoming dredging of the lake on the Mountain Lake community.
